Solving possibilistic games with incomplete information

چکیده

Bayesian games offer a suitable framework for where the utility degrees are additive in essence. This approach does nevertheless not apply to ordinal games, do capture more than ranking, nor situations of decision under qualitative uncertainty. The present paper proposes representation possibilistic incomplete information and extends fundamental notions pure mixed Nash equilibrium this framework. We show that deciding whether exists is difficult task (NP-hard) propose Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) encoding problem; as problem computing equilibrium, we it can be solved polynomial time. An experimental study based on GAMUT game generator confirms feasibility approach.

Approximately Solving Sequential Games With Incomplete Information

Games of incomplete information are notorious for their difficulty which usually makes finding an exact solution intractable. The problem is even harder when the game has multiple stages and sequential decision-making is required. Some efforts have therefore addressed the issue of finding approximate equilibria for various classes of games, but these have mostly been restricted to 1-stage games...

Possibilistic Boolean Games: Strategic Reasoning under Incomplete Information

Boolean games offer a compact alternative to normal-form games, by encoding the goal of each agent as a propositional formula. In this paper, we show how this framework can be naturally extended to model situations in which agents are uncertain about other agents’ goals. We first use uncertainty measures from possibility theory to semantically define (solution concepts to) Boolean games with in...

Games with Incomplete Information

1. Game theory and classical economics. Game theory is a theory of strategic interaction. That is to say, it is a theory of rational behavior in social situations in which each player has to choose his moves on the basis of what he thinks the other players’ countermoves are likely to be. After preliminary work by a number of other distinguished mathematicians and economists, game theory as a sy...

Bayesian Games: Games with Incomplete Information

Glossary Bayesian game An interactive decision situation involving several decision makers (players) in which each player has beliefs about (i. e. assigns probability distribution to) the payoff relevant parameters and the beliefs of the other players.
